Should I take the ACS Organic Chemistry Exam?

I'm a sopre in a gifted/talented high school and I'm taking Organic Chemistry I right now. Next year, I'll complete OC II, and I'm wondering if I should take the ACS Organic Chemistry Exam. So far as I can see, we cover the same material as most universities. Is there any reason why I would want to take the exam (e.g. Get out of chem in college) and could doing poorly on the exam hurt me? If I were to decide to take it, where would I take it?
