Aren't Emotions just the Primitive products of our Spoiled Egos ?

Even love is all about the ego. You love your child or boyfriend and when they don't love you back like you want them to, you cry because basically, you can't get what you want- which is appreciation or attention etc. Maybe you can love your children unconditionally, but that's because they are like your extension. I used to feel really bad when people got upset especially about relationship issues, but I came to realize that we are all just selfish, and that's it. When someone gets dumped, they cry because they can't look as good or be as cool as they think their partner is. Or when someone dies, you get sad because you won't see that person again- maybe that person is having fun in heaven at that moment. But we all make it look like we are such good superhumans that we are gifted with such deep and rich emotions.
