Is there any way to get the black off my fingers from husking walnuts?

You must be husking Black Walnuts....I learned by listening to my Family that you do have to wear gloves or wear the black off. One of my Cousins said it took his hands a month to turn back to white. Good Luck, and you now know for the next time.
