I can get the music off of a PSX disc from my PS3?

It's normal in the fact that depending on how the disc was pressed, certain games will let you listen to the soundtrack files within. There's no real way of telling whether or not a disc will allow this other than inserting it into your system and see if anything pops up under the Music tab.
