Ever heard of open-faced sandwiches spread with mustard and hamburger meat?

Back in the 50's, my mom use to spread white bread with mustard then spread raw hamburger on top and broil in the oven.....I guess it was a post-war economical recipe which actually was pretty good....wondering if anyone else has ever tasted this "delicacy."
