They screwed up Percy Jackson?

Everyone knows that when they turn a book into a movie, they screw it up. Look at Harry Potter. They killed the last few movies. Look at Eragon. They left out some of the most important parts. They always mess up movies. That's my one worry with being a writer. If i ever finish, and publish, a book and it gets turned into a movie, I'm afraid someone will mess it up.
