Tea Party and conservative idiocy? or brilliance?

Obama's public option is a fool-proof plan minus the money issue which he would get back in taxes. alot of conservatives say that those taxes are unfair but to level out the biggest and most corrupt industry in the country shouldn't it be a no brainer? and i don't realize how a 'big government' automatically translates into a socialist, corrupt system? where is the corruption in saving lives and trying to make corrupt businesses less corrupt? (corruption in the health care industry: too expensive, obviously, unfair care such as not covering a pre-existing condition, etc)
