Ok...I did something I shouldn't...?

Ok guys,I took a puff of my friend's cigarette last night during a cl chalet.Now my tongue's really dry and I've drank gallons of water,but my tongue's still very dry.Can you tell me why my tongue is so dry and how I can make it wet again?
