Spring training? I have a feeling I'll be sore tomorrow?
Heat pack. 'Nuff said. Seems to work best for me. Relax, apply heat (all night if you can), and do some easy CAREFUL stretches the next morning after walking around a little while. After a week of riding several horses a day, you'll be fine. You mention another injury? Maybe work in stretching/yoga as a weekly routine, it will decrease your chances of injury by making you more 'elastic'. Just sign up for a beginner cl at first to get the hang of it, you don't need much more than that if it's not something you like. Just to loosen up.
