Hitler..insane Genius, or blubbering idiot?

A close friend of mine and i have been discussing lately if Hitler was a true genius just corrupted from power, or just an idiot, and we've both come up with the conclusion that if he hadn't corrupted under power he would have been a great leader. What other person could convince an entire nation that one denomination of religion was terrible, and that everyone ociated with them was horrible too. Hitler could be defined as popular when he was younger. He was a born leader. I'm not saying I support anything Hitler did, on the contrary actually, but I'm curious to see who else sees him as a political genius.
